 Your peace of mind
Powwownow in safety Security is paramount in conference call facilities, and so naturally our operation, software and hardware reflect this prime concern.
Open Access Service Our conference call service operates with a dial-in application secured with entry by PIN. Our Open Access Service uses six-to-nine digit PINs, making PIN duplication highly unlikely. The added security of 'conference caller name announcement' means that if two organisations do call at the same time, with the same PIN, then you'll notice any unexpected arrivals. In addition, the 'Conference Call Locking' facility ensures that once all participants are engaged in a call, the room can be 'locked' to prevent any other parties entering or overhearing the discussion.
Enhanced Access Service Our Enhanced Access service offers a greater level of security - we allocate our PINs once only, and no two organisations can have the same one. This eliminates the possibility of PIN duplication, ensuring total security.
Premium Access Packages Organisations subscribing to any one of our Premium Access packages receive their own dial-in number, and the PINs we give to that number are only ever used by that organisation. Ultimate security.
Our Technology Our core voice conferencing system is based on robust, powerful, scalable, industry standards based media servers, designed to deliver the full range of voice and media services solutions in both traditional circuit switched networks and the most advanced VoIP and ATM packet switched environments. The system has been developed to support our own requirements but it also provides an integrated GUI-based development environment that can be used to rapidly develop and deploy complex telephony applications. Our customer service, provisioning and reporting functions are web-based, and are fully integrated with the voice conferencing system. This ensures the latest system information is available online.
Our Infrastructure We house our systems in a state-of-the-art data centre, run by our tier-one telecoms partner, ensuring a resilient power supply, stable temperature and a secure physical environment. The core Powwownow systems are designed for computer and telephony hardware - they are also designed to be redundant, so that in the case of failure of one system another one will automatically take over its role. The rest of our infrastructure is based upon best of breed hardware from vendors such as Cisco, HP and Dell and is similarly designed to redundant. We configure our systems to provide maximum availability, minimum maintenance and the safety option of remote, 24x7 management. We proactively monitor the status of our servers, network and telephone lines, and we send any alarms instantly to our technical support staff. Physically, we protect our servers from failure by providing dual power supplies. And, to reduce the possibility of data loss, they each have raided/mirrored disks.
